Our Health and Welfare Fund is a multiemployer health program providing medical, prescription, dental & vision and life insurance benefits to Operating Engineers who work a specified number of hours for contributing employers. The plan benefits are also available for eligible spouses and children.

Our Pension Fund is a multi-employer retirement plan providing income to Operating Engineers in their retirement years. The benefit amount depends on Plan terms, length of service, age at retirement and the form of payment selected by the participant. Full retirement benefits are available at age 65 and participants as young as 55 can qualify for early retirement benefits, at a reduction under current plan guidelines. It is also possible to qualify for an early non-reduced benefit payable at age 57, after meeting the hours requirement.

Our Annuity and Savings Fund is a multiemployer savings plan, created to provide supplemental financial security at retirement, and encourages and assists participant with investment education and options. The plan also allows for in-service withdrawals for eligible participants annually, along with hardship and disability options, after meeting the requirements.

We have built and operate our Apprenticeship and Training facility in Medina, WV on over 165 acres of mountainous terrain with evolving education in mind. Our members get personalized training from certified journeymen instructors and have access to the latest tech and equipment. Training includes but is not limited to: various pieces of equipment, Crane and Rigging, CDL, Excavation & Trenching, GPS Dozer/Grader, Pipeline, HAZMAT, CPR/First Aid, and 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety. Members can also access comprehensive training at the IUOE International Training & Education Center in Crosby, Texas.
