When do I become a Participant in the Plan?Your participation in the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 132 Pension Fund begins when you become an Employee who is, or may be, entitled to participate in the benefits provided for in the pension plan, or when you have completed 1,000 Covered Hours. Your Employer must be signatory to a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Employer and a Union whose bargaining contracts have a provision for payments into the Pension Fund. Contributions may only be reported by your Participating Employer. Self contributions are not permitted. When you become a Participant, you should complete an Information Sheet, which provides the Fund Office with basic information about you. The information you will need to provide is:
If any of the above requested information changes, you should advise the Fund Office in writing or you may complete a new Information Sheet. You should also contact the Fund Office and your Union Office whenever there is a change in your mailing address. |
