Laboratory Benefits

For active participants and retirees with full coverage who are eligible for H&W coverage, the Fund has added the Lab Card benefit to your current healthcare plan.

Participants who have another insurance as their primary insurance carrier or participants who are covered under a Medicare Supplement policy are not eligible for this benefit.  Your primary insurance carrier must process the claim in order for the Fund to process the claim under the Coordination of Benefits policy.

This program is a member-driven benefit that provides you with FREE outpatient laboratory testing when your specimens are sent to an approved Lab Card collection site a fully accredited and certified laboratory, and the testing is covered by your medical plan.  You pay no deductible, no copayments, and no coinsurance for testing that is covered by your medical plan.
